I really like their matcha powder for home, and the matcha soft serve was incredible. Jason has been very responsive and kind over email about my orders. It tasted so strongly of matcha, I would say it's the best matcha ice cream in Chicago and as similar as I've had here to Matcha Cafe Maiko. It's impressive that it's also vegan. I want to try the lattes, bonbons, and chocolate bars here and will update my review when I do.

We absolutely love everything here!! They have the BEST soft serve in the city (dairy free or not) the texture and flavor is perfect. We love that they have rotating flavors too! they taste so real, nothing artificial, not overly sweet. We've tried the matcha, ube, and tea flavors. Their yuzu chocolate bar is incredible, we go back to stock up on that all the time. The bon bons are so fun, we recently got the peanut butter and jelly ones, they were dairy free and delicious. The bon bons make such a unique, fun gift too!!

I went to Sugoi Sweets and tried a couple of chocolates. Honestly, I was expecting more because I was really excited to visit this place. The chocolate designs were super cute and beautifully made, that was definitely my favorite part. However, the taste was just okay and nothing very special. To me, the chocolates were overly sweet, and the flavor itself didn’t really stand out. The shop was also much smaller than I expected. Overall, the presentation was adorable, but the taste didn’t quite live up to the hype for me.

i wish they were open more often because everything is so good!! they have a couple of house made syrups you can choose from for the latte which really elevated the drink. the star for us was the soft serve. typically, the matcha can taste a little powdery in soft serve, but we didn’t have that issue with this one. we got the swirl of the matcha and milk tea. both flavors were strong and smooth, we were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. lastly, the bon bons can be a little pricey, but it’s well worth it. there’s so many unique and seasonal flavors to choose from, not to mention the designs are so cute. these are perfect as a small sweet treat for yourself or to give as a gift. can’t wait to come back again!

I can not give enough compliments to Sugoi. I have ordered 3 times in less than a month’s time. I love the unique flavor combinations, how smooth and velvety the bon bons melt in your mouth while wowing the taste buds. The caramels!! Holy moly DELICIOUS!! The matcha almonds are just too amazing to put into words. The ube sesame malt balls, heaven! If I ever travel to Chicago the trip will be because of Sugoi to experience in person. Reading other reviews I can’t wait to try matcha soft serve. I almost forgot the nougat. It’s all out of bounds tasty. I will be a customer for life. I can’t wait to try the actual matcha tea and everything Sugoi has to offer. Thank you so much for the passion!! It comes through in all your creations. Also LOVE the bon bon box art!! You all are ridiculously talented and I’m definitely reaping the benefits!!
